View of Deadman's Cove on the trail leading up to Cape Disappointment Lighthouse in Washington state. This image was captured during early spring, late afternoon. Fog was hanging around the top of the cove, and there was a steady drizzle.
Cape Disappointment earned its name when John Meares failed to cross the Columbia river bar in 1788, which was later accomplished by Robert Gray in 1792. The Lewis and Clark Expedition arrived at the Cape in 1805. The state park is located on the Long Beach Peninsula, at the northern headlands where the Columbia River empties into the Pacific Ocean.

I am Portland, Oregon based photographer. I am fascinated by many genres, but I particularly love travel and abstract photography. I immensely enjoy the process of taking images. It gives me an opportunity to slow down, immerse myself into the scene. I love that feeling of complete absorption, when you get into a flow, a zenlike, meditative state. I hope that my images convey this same sense of immersion and allow the viewer to feel similar emotions.
