Description
Diwan Khan-i-Khass (Hall of Private Audience) and Khwabgah (Dream Palace) in the city of Fatehpur Sikri, near Agra, India. The city was constructed/completed by Emperor Akbar, and it serve as a capital of Mughal Empire from 1571 to 1585. The royal complex in which these buildings are located, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. These and other buildings are fine examples of Mughal architecture, an amalgamation of Indian, Persian and Turkish style, first developed and flourished during the reign of Akbar the Great (grandfather of Shah Jahan of the Taj Mahal fame).
