Artist's Description
The town of Monterosso is one of the five coastal villages that collectively make up Cinque Terre. In 1997 Cinque Terre was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. This view is taken from the trail that approaches Monterosso al Mare from the other Cinque Terre village of Vernazza. The hike is about 3 km, that hugs the sea and provides spectacular views. It takes about couple of hours to complete.
About Aashish Vaidya
I am Portland, Oregon based photographer. I am fascinated by many genres, but I particularly love travel and abstract photography. I immensely enjoy the process of taking images. It gives me an opportunity to slow down, immerse myself into the scene. I love that feeling of complete absorption, when you get into a flow, a zenlike, meditative state. I hope that my images convey this same sense of immersion and allow the viewer to feel similar emotions.
